Since childhood, Romeo has been surrounded by dogs. The first dog came into his life when he was eight years old. It was a female Doberman, a protective and loyal first companion.

A few years later, his parent’s passion for dogs grew from owning them to working with them on a professional basis. His father began training dogs and his mum became a well-known groomer in their native city. As a teenager, Romeo became more and more involved with the training of his furry friends, guided by his parents. He became an expert trainer who owned and also trained various breeds of dogs to the very highest standard.

Before he knew it, he had completely immersed himself in the community of dog trainers and spent his days developing and grasping an ever expanding understanding in dog behaviour and psychology. And very quickly, it became clear that a good trainer is one who can take any dog infront of them, and produce a desired outcome, with a dog that is happy to perform by only using positive methods.

About fifteen years ago, passion turned into a profession for Romeo. He started working alongside his family, initially as a dog walker. Over the years he gained more knowledge and experience and progressed to training dogs.

He has his own two years old German Shepherd, called Rupert, so training is never ending for Romeo, not even when his shift is over.

Since beginning at Royvon he has begun attending IMDT workshops and seminars and is progressing towards achieving his IMDT membership. He particularly enjoys working with German Shepherds, Dobermans and Rottweilers, and specialises in addressing dog/human aggression as well as developing fantastic obedience skills. He’s a fantastic trainer who loves working with all of our guests to help shape them into well-behaved dogs!
