Dog Playhouse Bridgend
Introducing a dog boarding and daycare concept in Bridgend, Wales, with as much enthusiastic energy as your dog!
If your dog loves being active, making new friends, playing and relaxing, then Royvon Playhouse is the perfect option for boarding. Royvon Playhouse, at Bridgend in Wales, is unlike other dog boarding centres and kennels. With a large, secure site, Playhouse offers free flow, weatherproof play spaces, calm sleeping areas and an all-inclusive, easy to budget cost.
Active dog boarding for playful pups
The space at Royvon Playhouse has been designed for dogs to have their happiest holidays. Large outdoor spaces offer room to roam securely, play equipment to climb on, race around and try out some new activities. Large indoor paddocks provide play spaces for new dog friends to enjoy their stay in their own style, whatever the weather. Royvon Playhouse is only suitable for dog-friendly dogs so that every dog can enjoy the freedom and fun of extended playtime, from 8am to 4pm each day. Toys are provided and staff get actively involved with having fun with the dogs that are staying.
All-inclusive dog boarding in Bridgend, South Wales
Unlike our other dog boarding options, which offer a customisable schedule for your dog’s activities to suit their personality, and your budget, Royvon Playhouse operates on an all-inclusive basis. Your dog will have open play during the day, 24 hour care, their own suite, additional toilet opportunities out of their suite and a bath on departure. We will be launching our award-winning training soon which will incur an extra charge, but otherwise, all you need to sort is their food and everything else is covered. You can rest on holiday in the knowledge that your dog is getting plenty of exercise and stimulation, rest and care.
Comfortable suites for your dog to relax in
Your dog has their own comfortable suite to relax and sleep in while boarding. This safe space gives your dog much-needed downtime from all the excitement and is heated or cooled for comfort year-round. Each suite has its own bed so you don’t need to provide any bedding for your dog’s stay. This is also where your dog will be fed, to prevent swapping of food that doesn’t suit sensitive tummies, and to make sure we know exactly how much your dog is eating so that we can keep an eye on their appetite. Your dog will only be fed the food you bring, to ensure they are used to it, and according to their normal feeding schedule to help them to stay in routine. If your dog requires any medication, this will also be given in their suite, according to your instructions.
Dog shuttle bus from Royvon Esher, Surrey, England
We run regular purpose-built dog shuttle buses between our Esher, Surrey site and Royvon Playhouse in Bridgend, Wales. This convenient option means that you can drop your dog off in Surrey and we do the driving for you. And when it comes to collection day, your dog will be waiting for you back in Esher again.
Booking on the shuttle bus requires a minimum of a week boarding booking. There are more shuttle buses running during peak periods but if there is not a bus departing on the day of your booking, they will be accommodated at Esher until the next journey, if capacity allows. Even better, if you are booking a week or more boarding in peak periods, at least eight weeks in advance, the cost of the shuttle is covered by Royvon.
Please note, the dog shuttle bus to Playhouse is only suitable for dogs who travel well by car.
Additional toilet opportunities
After the free play session for the day, dogs retire to their suites for rest. However, the opportunities for a toilet visit continue and dogs are brought out regularly to allow them the chance to do their business on their preferred surface, away from their bed and at their own timing. For dogs that like to keep things clean, especially those who will hold it until the conditions are right and risk an infection, this is an important part of boarding at Royvon Playhouse.
Staff that love dogs, on-hand 24 hours a day
All staff at Royvon love dogs, it’s our most important recruitment criteria. At Royvon Playhouse the team interacts with dogs throughout the day and night. During open play time, there will be up to ten staff available, offering the play buddy and cuddles your dog needs. Even overnight, staff aren’t just onsite but are actively with the dogs, checking that all is well and whether anyone needs anything. This helps dogs to feel at home and allows us to pick up any potential welfare issues as soon as possible. In the case of an emergency, staff are animal first-aid trained and we have strong links with local vets.
Live Webcam to see your dog enjoying their stay
We know it can be hard to be away from your dog, and they can’t send a postcard or a text message to tell you how much they are enjoying their holiday! To help you to see how they are getting on we have live webcams in the play areas that are live during the eight hours of open play. You can watch for your dog scampering past with new friends, finding a quiet corner for a cuddle with staff or enjoying playing with a new toy.
We like to think that our webcam also shows you we have nothing to hide. Although our spaces are secure and many customers will never visit the site in person, you are welcome to see what we get up to and how we take care of the dogs that are with us. You will be sent information on how to access the live webcam when your dog is checked in for dog boarding.
Suitable for dog-friendly dogs
Owing to the open plan nature of Royvon Playhouse, your dog will be mixing with other dogs that are known to be friendly and non-reactive with other dogs and people.
We strongly believe that all dogs deserve to live a happy healthy life with the family they love most. We do a great deal to help dogs of all personalities, including those who suffer with anxiety, fear or aggression. If your dog is not suitable for the free flow play of Playhouse, we recommend boarding at our Country Retreat in Merthyr Tydfil or Royvon Esher, depending on your location. We also have our signature Residential Dog Training, which includes a Behaviour Modification Programme over a three week boarding period. During this time, one of our expert team will be your dedicated trainer and can work with your dog to help them with reactivity.
