Essential Part Of the Success
Three Months Owner Training
Achieving Success
A very important part of our training here at Royvon is supporting our owners and helping them to achieve their training goals in the real world. It can be a little daunting, seeing amazing results and wondering “but will they do that for me?”
But that’s what makes our training programmes so successful! The training doesn’t stop as soon as your pick up your dog, we provide ongoing support so that you feel confident in your own skills and your dog is getting the consistency they need to continue making progress.
Weekly Progress Videos
Whilst your dog stays with us you’d be able to view daily photos of your dog in their activity sessions via our Facebook pages (Esher and Merthyr) and our Instagram pages (Esher and Merthyr). You’d also receive a weekly training video update, so you can see how they’ve been getting on! These videos give you an opportunity to see your trainers techniques, how your dog is responding to them and most importantly how they’re progressing. Whilst it’s lovely to see a video of your doggies whilst they’re away, it’s also a valuable learning opportunity for you to wrap your head around training concepts before you see them again!
Departure Day
Once you’ve had your cuddles, we get started on the nitty gritty side of training. You’ll go through each aspect of your dog’s training in depth, including demonstrations of the skills you dog has learnt and the opportunity to practice this for yourself. You’ll be coached by your trainer every step of the way, and receive feedback to help you develop your skills too! We know just how important it is that you understand WHY you’re doing something, which is why you’ll be talked through the details of everything. If you’re unsure of anything, you’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and work more on areas you may not feel so confident in.
Off Site Lesson
Dependent on your dog’s unique training plan, you’ll also have the opportunity to practise these skills around distractions and in different environments. Under the supervision and support of your trainer you may be training around other dogs, new people, in the woods, in the town or even in the train station. Here at Royvon we emphasise the importance of developing our dogs transferable skills, so you can achieve real life results.

Home Training Plan
Once you’re confident with your dogs training you’ll sit down with your trainer and finalise details for the rest of your dog’s training plan. You’ll go through a few notes, be guided through what to expect when you get home and most importantly what you’ll need to do in order to help your dog continue to excel. You’ll receive notes on your dog’s training, and may receive additional resources including video or written instructions dependent on your dog’s training plan.
You’ll have another opportunity to ask any questions before popping your dog in the car, ready to start your own training!
Ongoing Support
Throughout your aftercare period and far beyond, you will receive ongoing support from your dog trainer. They’ll be just a click away if you ever have any questions or need some additional advice on your dog!
