I decided to send my dog Buddy to Royvon for a 3 week residential course after reading several favourable reviews plus it was only a 30 min drive from my home. I adopted Buddy from the RSPCA. When I got him he was very reactive when on the lead due to the fact that once he left his home after 8 weeks he then spent about 8/9 months kept in a shed in a cage. He had never been socialised and seeing other dogs was freaking him out. Romeo, one of the trainers at Royvon, was certain that he would benefit from the course and said it was not aggression but frustration ...he was not wrong. Buddy is a much calmer dog when he sees other dogs, no more barking & jumping around like a lunatic. It means I can now take him to places we were not able to go to before. Watching Romeo, on the videos that we got sent daily, you can tell heclearly knows his job and is so calm in his approach to training. I would definitely recommend Royvon and in particular Romeo if you have a reactive dog. Since Buddy has returned home I have been on 2 one to ones with Romeo which are included in the cost with another booked in this week. Buddy is still a work in progress and Romeo has shown me techniques which I can carry forward with Buddy's ongoing training. In my view it was money well spent and I am looking forward to our holiday in Cornwall next month as now it won't be so stressful.

The welcome from the staff upon arrival is as friendly as a dog wagging its tail at you. The checkin left me feeling confident that I was leaving my dog in good hands. The regular updates throughout my holiday created certainty and trust. When I returned to pick up my dog I couldn’t believe that she didn’t actually want to leave. I have never ever had that experience before.
I can now go on holiday knowing that my dog will be having a great time too.

Our dog has gone to the Esher boarding for the last 5 years.He is not an easy dog,but he loves it there

It’s the third time we’ve left Alfie at Royvon Esher. This time he had some medical issues prior to his stay. I checked with Royvon that they would be happy to incorporate medicine and specific requests regarding exercise and they were happy to help. Alfie loves his time there and races off when we get there. I love the daily photos we receive and also the updates on what he’s been up to. We miss him so much when he’s away but it’s also good to know he’s in a safe place with care and comfort. Thanks guys , you’re all great

We would just like to thank Romeo for the work he has done with Leo. His knowledge of how to deal with dogs and support developing their confidence in different situations is excellent.
Both Leo and Pippin had a great time at Royvon, staff all very pleasant and clearly love working with the dogs. The videos of the dogs out and about shows how happy they are whilst on their holidays. Wouldn’t hesitate to use Royvon again.

I started 1:1 training with Mimi at Royvon in December 24 for my 8 month old labrador puppy, Gus and it was such a great decision. Gus is quite large for a labrador, very bouncy, strong and excitable and I was struggling with him listening to me, with recall and general overexcitement around other dogs. Walks had become a bit stressful because he just wanted to play with every dog he saw.
Over the last few months, Mimi has done a brilliant job of training both Gus and me and I cannot recommend her and Royvon highly enough. Gus responded to her immediately and tried so hard to do everything that she asked of him. Her patience and clear understanding of what Gus and I were struggling with was reassuring. The notes sent after each training session were so helpful and ensured that I was consistent with training between sessions. At 12 months old, Gus will now walk on a loose lead, check in with me before going to another dog and sit quietly as other dogs walk by. We have both loved every 1:1 session with Mimi and look forward to doing more training with her.

My daughter came across the residential training program at Royvon when searching for more training for our young Border Collie rescue Maysie ......as our last resort. We had tried various trainers and an animal behaviourist but nothing seemed to work well with her. To be honest none of the trainers would come near her because she was so reactive towards them, lunging barking and trying to nip or bite. We had resorted to using a muzzle whenever anyone came into the house and keeping her in a separate room or on a leash. At home with us she is very loving and affectionate but just a knock at the door or anyone walking or driving past the house can send her into a barking frenzy jumping up aggressively at the door or window. She was also reactive to almost everything outside - dogs, cats, children, people, cars, bikes and could lunge and bark aggressively without any warning. She could be so unpredictable that we were just constantly prepared for bad behaviour and if she was good then that was just an added bonus.
We dropped Maysie off for her initial assessment with Romeo all muzzled up to be safe. We spent approx an hour and a half with him, walked through his training routes including the town, playing fields and railway station. We watched some of the training techniques he would be using and then we left her there looking very sorry for herself. Within an hour of us leaving Romeo sent a video through of them both and Maysie was eating treats out of his hand - muzzle free.....we were absolutely gobsmacked! We visited again the 3rd day for a training seasion and then left her there for her residential. We received daily updates, photos and videos from the Royvon Team showing how she was improving and also enjoying additional playtime and socialisation with some of the other dogs.
When we returned to Royvon we had a 3 hour handover session with Romeo walking again through his training route. We were able to see how much Maysie had improved since our first visit and tried some of the techniques ourselves with guidance from Romeo. We then a further couple of hours with him again the following day before returning home with Maysie.
We have definitely seen positive improvements in her behaviour since she has been in training with Romeo and cared for by the Royvon team. She seemed to have taken really well to everybody there and had been giving them all her special Maysie cuddles by the time she left.
Over our first week at home we have been continuing to incorporate the training we have learned into our walks. It has been a bit of a challenging week transitioning back to home life but we are committed to putting the work in and Romeo has been keeping in touch with his invaluable guidance and support.
We have a follow up session booked in at the beginning of July and are confident that with the tools, guidance and additional support from Romeo and that Maysie will continue to improve and that these new behaviors she is learning will just become natural for her.
Romeo is undeniably passionate about his dogs in his care. He genuinely wants to achieve a positive outcome for both dogs and their owners. His professionalism, knowledge, understanding and empathy shown towards Maysie and his ongoing follow up support for ourselves has been nothing short of amazing. We can't thank Romeo and the Royvon team enough and look forward to returning back to visit in July.

Thanks to Chloe for looking after Willow in her settlement stay, she is a nervous 10 month old pup and you really helped her settle. We are now confident enough to book her in for a week.

An amazing place. We are treated as part of the family. Romeo has worked with our overanxious and highly reactive German shepherd Hugo. As owners the transformation has been far more than we could have hoped for. Hugo will always be a work in progress, but he is so much happier and less anxious and reactive than he was. Romeo is highly skilled and a highly experienced trainer, he uses his tools and techniques and knowledge of dog behaviour to help dogs like Hugo. Romeo also helps us with training and moving on to obedience training. Romeo treats his dogs with kindness and with compassion. There are no harsh techniques just reward based training, by understanding each dog in his charge. Hugo is a much happier dog and we are much happier owners. Hugo has had 13 week training session with Romeo and the extra lessons that come with the training session on a weekly or monthly basis, we've also put Hugo in for boarding and some extra training. Also found his new best friend in Kelsey one of the other trainers. He loves her to bits and responds very well to her. I cannot recommend highly enough Royvon. The consequences of not finding royvon would have been very grave indeed and I thank Romeo, Kelsey, Darren and the team for helping Hugo live a better life and consequently us as well. We are so happy we found Royvon and would highly recommend them .We have a very nervous little Jack Russel and we're worried about her coping with kennels but booked a confidence stay to see how she would cope.Tilly looked after her and Bambi took to her very quickly and we were so impressed with the care and attention she received she coped really well and it's such a relief to know we have somewhere for her to stay where she will be so we'll cared for Tilly was fantastic with her we got a report and photos and videos to show us how she was getting on which helped me relax knowing she was doing well .Royvon go above and beyond to care for the dogs and I would 100% recommend them .

I can not recommend Royvon enough! This has been a great experience. Pablo had the 21 day residential training with Romeo. The constant update that we were receiving and how happy Pablo seemed was amazing. The support after we picked Pablo up from Romeo was fantastic. We are definitely happy to come back for the boarding experience. The peace we felt leaving Pablo with Romeo was amazing. So grateful for the support that Romeo has given us during and after our visit.

Charlie worked with chilli on his recall and walking on a lead without pulling, the results are pretty impressive on a very short time. I am definitely more confident on letting him of leash in the park now, as I trust him to come to me when I want him to….

I can’t say enough good things about the Royvon Playhouse Bridgend. The team always welcome my dog to daycare by name which makes me feel completely at ease. They’re warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about animals. My dog, Oreo, always runs right in with his tail wagging every morning as he’s so excited — that says everything!

I love getting the daily photo updates and seeing him playing with his friends. It’s such a relief knowing he’s in a safe and stimulating environment while I’m at work.

Our three year old cane corsa hadn’t been socialised and couldn’t walk in public when she arrived in the uk in November. After trying and failing to make her a happy and well adjusted dog by ourselves, we reached out to Royvon about their residential training.

Olive has just completed her three weeks intense training and it’s like we’ve brought home a different dog. Not only is she calmer in the house, but we can now walk her without her being petrified of every noise and person that comes near her. She’s even just walked the school run with me.

Romeo and the team at Royvon have been a godsend to us, and we can’t wait to see how much further they can help Olive grow into a much loved happy and confident family pet.

I have a reactive GSD X Mali, Hunter. he’s absolutely gorgeous just not initially friendly, taking hunter to the kennels is already an unpleasant experience with feeling guilty leaving him and then obviously the constant worry while i’m away of how he’s getting on, is everyone ok, has he had a bad turn.
I found royvon by sheer chance and it’s changing our lives. The staff were from the very first contact to his stays now so comforting and reassuring, seeing my obvious nerves about Hunters behaviour Chloe especially gave me all the time in the world, listening to my ever ending knowledge dump about hunter, why’s he’s like this, triggers, how once he’s settled he’s lovely and since the day of his confidence stay i’ve not looked back. dropping him off to strangers which is absolutely my worst fear with a reactive dog and they set such an energy he’s excited to leave me and settles in so happily. I get regular updates of how he is, what he’s doing, anything they want to tell me and it is just the best thing to open my phone to. i get photos and videos of walks and play, updates on his eating.

We would highly recommend the Royvon team. We have recently started to use them for boarding our very stubborn, and particular Chow Chow. The team there have been incredibly helpful, patient, kind and understanding. We had bad experiences with kennels before and our experience with Royvon is second to none. Great facilities, very professional staff and they treat each dog as an individual. They are willing to work with dogs, such as chow chows, that other places wouldn’t even consider. If you really want a home away from home with caring, professional and great team members look no further! Especially big thanks to Chloe as she has been integral to our dogs integration into the kennel.

We recently had my German Shepherd Flo put into training over a three week period for reactivity and obedience training on short lead and long lead walks. Romeo has done an incredible job working with Flo working on her behaviour around other dogs in public, at dog parks or walking down the street already there has been a massive improvement. All staff at Royvon are incredible and very kind but Romeo has gone above and beyond to help train Flo. Training is still ongoing but so far I can say her behaviour has improved greatly.

This was coco’s first visit to Royvon. Romeo trained our previous dog for many years. We would not leave Coco anywhere else but Royvon. Royvon is a special place that really looks after dogs in such an amazing way. We recommend it to all our doggy friends. Coco learnt basic puppy obedience, walking on the lead, recall, socialised with other puppies of a similar age and had an absolute ball during her holiday. She can’t wait to return for more training later in the summer and hopefully show off all her new skills to Romeo! Bravo Royvon and especially Romeo who is a truly exceptional dog trainer. We have tried to make contact with Royvon concerning our dog that was in their care, and still yet to hear anything back from them. We had been led to believe that our dog would gain the necessary life skills and obedience to accompany us anywhere, but unfortunately, the reality has been quite the opposite since leaving Royvon 6 months ago. His reactivity has worsened, and we are now unable to walk him past dogs and people on the street without severe reactions. In fact, we have had to resort to using a muzzle for safety, which was not something we paid thousands to end up doing. He is now petrified of men, unsure why this has happened since being in your care, but we need some kind of explanation and support in helping our dog. The only positive we have taken away from Royvon, is the knowledge that we can use a ball to try to distract our dog when he is reactive, not sure that it’s great value for money.

Excellent facilities and staff. Really good communication with daily updates and pictures whilst we were away. All the staff clearly love working with dogs and were a pleasure to deal with. We have a large bull breed x mastiff with a lot of energy and they were absolutely brilliant with him. We will definitely use these guys again. Ed

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Romeo to train our dog, Rio. From the very first session, Romeo demonstrated not only incredible knowledge and professionalism but also a deep understanding of canine behaviour and a true love for dogs.

Romeo’s approach is both compassionate and effective. He tailored each session to Rio’s specific needs and personality, and the progress we’ve seen has been amazing. Whether it was basic obedience, leash training, or managing some of Rio’s more challenging behaviours, Romeo provided clear guidance and practical techniques that actually work.

Romeo has been incredible with my two rescue pups.The transformation has been incredible and they absolutely adore him! Having a reactive dog can be soul destroying- but Romeo has taken the time to train me as much as the dogs, taking into account what I want, my schedule and giving me tools that have increased my confidence in handling two energetic dogs. And the rest of team Royvon have been brilliant - making myself and the dogs feel at home (including in the office- pictured). It’s a process, but I have gone from being overwhelmed, terrified (after someone threatened to shoot my dogs because they barked at him) and alone, to feeling supported and more confident with every session.

We brought our Female French Bully to Royvon for training when she was 9 months old. We were having real difficulty finding the right match and felt our pup needed serious engagement as opposed to a dog walker /someone less qualified so we turned to the Pros! Orphy was immediately taken with Charlie who trained and looked after her for 3 weeks straight. It was very hard to leave her knowing we wouldn’t see her for nearly a month but Charlie was warm and kind and the office staff were thoughtful and supportive as I blubbed in the parking lot! Charlie and Orphy worked together to such a high standard and the office staff kept us updated on Orphy’s welfare while Charlie sent messages and photos/videos of Orphy’s training progress every couple of days which we really appreciated! Orphy came back to us a much less anxious and agitated puppy who clearly learned a lot and continues to retain the information/commands.
When we went back for our top up session, Orphy was super excited to drive through the gates and could not wait to get out of the car! We did about an hour with Charlie, going over techniques to keep Orphy interested and help us with her ongoing training while she’s at home. The refresher appointments are a nice touch and definitely worthwhile!
We absolutely recommend Royvon and are so grateful to have found them!

Loosing my confidence with my beautiful German Shepherd due to my neighbour telling me to get rid of him was devastating. My son and I searched the country for the right place to get some help. Royvon became our top choice from reviews and awards. I didn’t really know what to expect and certainly didn’t expect my German Shepherd to last a night in kennels having never been away from home before. The first assessment with Romeo immediately instilled confidence and the most amazing sense of relief. In fact I couldn’t believe it was my dog on the assessment! We left filled with positivity and excited that Apollo would spend three weeks at Royvon with a great team who really care. Romeo is so committed to his role and this is shown in every aspect of Apollo’s training and in keeping us informed. We received daily updates, by video twice a day and by photos as updates. I never once felt I needed to call, even though I knew I could. Romeo was confident from the outset that Apollo would be fine in the kennels and well looked after and integrated. Romeo a magnificent dog whisperer bonded with Apollo immediately. I loved watching Apollo’s progress and seeing him so engaged and happy. As the weeks went by I missed this massive part of my life but my confidence was growing too as I watched how Apollo learned new behaviours. It was amazing picking Apollo up and taking part in a very important 2 hour hand over. I, like Apollo, listened to everything Romeo said. We are also looking forward to another follow up session next week. After our first night back at home we received a lovely message from Romeo checking in on Apollo and some friendly advice. Romeo quite obviously has a very special gift that he couples with incredibly dedicated work. 🙏thank you Romeo you have changed our lives. Thank you to the team at Royvon, your kindness, calmness and care is evident in all you are doing. I never thought any of this was possible and how grateful I am that it is. Thank you. Disappointed and Concerned – Not What I Was Promised
I chose Royvon for dog training because they specifically told me they use positive reinforcement methods, which is incredibly important to me. However, my experience was completely at odds with what they claimed.

When I arrived, one of the first things they suggested was putting a grot (prong) collar on my dog – something I never would have agreed to had I known that was part of their approach. Despite my hesitation, they eventually fitted it and proceeded to “train” him by pulling him around and choking him. There was nothing positive or kind about the methods I witnessed.

I had planned to board my dog here for three weeks of training, but after seeing how they handled him in just one session, I cancelled immediately. I honestly dread to think what three weeks of that kind of treatment would have done to my dog.

Please be mindful when trusting companies that say they use positive reinforcement – unfortunately, in my experience, this was not the case with Royvon.

I'm so happy to see my lovely boy benefiting from the behavior modification program here. After some negative experiences in the past, I’ve never seen him so comfortable with a trainer — except for Romeo. Now, we can finally go out in public without having to avoid busy times. This photo was taken while we were enjoying a lovely brunch at a café!

As this being my dogs first ever stay away from home I could not be more pleased with the care my very anxious cane corso received . Very calm environment and have never seen my dog so relaxed . Chloe has been an absolute Star and has built an incredible bond with Rosie in just 24 hours absolutely amazing highly highly recomend !!

Royvon took excellent care of our puppy. He is a pretty nervous dog but they had him settled and happy after the first day. Their trainer Romeo has been excellent too, we saw a big improvement in our puppy's anxiety around cars.

Well what can I say? What I can say is the professionalism of Alize the dog trainer is second to none. I have had much more success with this young lady than all the other trainers put together. My dog couldn't go within a mile of other dogs, but after only 5 to 6 one hour training with Alize and he is ignoring other dogs. i an now walk him where other dogs may be. I sat and had a coffee last week for the first time without him going ballistic on the sight of other dogs. I spent over £2,000 getting him trained for a full 2 month in Devon. Alize done more in a handful of 1 hour sessions than they done in 2 months. If your looking for a trainer that actually cares about animals, a facility that is well equipped top board dogs. My dog is living proof, that with the correct trainer they can change for the better. Then please give Royvon a try, you can thank me later.

We took our young German Shepherd puppy in to Royvon for training with Kelsey and Romeo.

Jasper was extremely reactive to just about everything, including people, dogs and traffic.

Through a lot of hard work, we have made so much progress with Romeo and Kelsey. They have really gone above and beyond to try and make him more manageable, and what a difference it’s made.

He is still reactive, mainly to dogs, but he can do so much more now. As with any German Shepherd puppy, we still have lots of work to do, but we believe we now have the tools to succeed thanks to Royvon.

We will still be coming back as Jasper has built a stone bond with both of his trainers, but we thoroughly recommend Royvon for anyone struggling with a difficult dog, or just a dog that needs training!

Our pup went for a confidence stay, and not only did he have a great time, but they also instilled confidence in us with how ofter they checked in with us, the care for Ted and the detailed report and photos - We cant thank the team enough x

The choice of services available makes boarding here a seamless home away from home experience for our Labrador, Dune. The staff are friendly, welcoming and professional and our dog is always very well looked after. We have used Royvon for a few years now for our Boxer dog, Dexter. Initially we chose Royvon based on reputation and proximity to work - for kennel cover when we go away, rather than for behaviour modification. We would absolutely recommend Royvon as the staff, both those with the dogs and those who are more behind the scenes (admin etc) are fantastic - in a nutshell, they love dogs. Dexter is always delighted to see them and runs in happily when we drop him off. The team have been flexible when we need to change an occasional date (stuck at airport overnight!) and, when Dexter was under specific medication, they administered it without question.

When we are away, we appreciate all the photos and comments about Dexter’s day! We are using you again next month! Thank you!

We’ve been fans of Royvon since our pup first boarded there at 8 months. The team has become an important part of our lives with their reliable, professional and friendly canine care. Although he’s a generally well behaved dog, he picked up some snappy behaviours with other hounds aged around 3. Royvon stepped in last year to give us guidance and help change some of our routines to make a huge improvement in our little dog’s behaviour. We have just completed our first 2 hour Masterclass at Home with our 10 week old Cocker Spaniel - Honey. Mimi was our puppy trainer from Royvon who came to our home. Mimi was a wonderful warm and lovely person who had patience for us and Honey. I didn't realise how much we could all learn in just 2 hours and feel much more comfortable knowing how to spend our time with Honey, what training to start to try out etc. To hear what we are doing right already (phew) and some other really good tips. I would definitely recommend Royvon and Mimi. We will be starting a puppy training course at Royvon as soon as Honey has had her second vaccination. We have just picked our dog up from an evaluation over night stay at Royvon. Because she is due to board for a week next month and has never been away from us, we thought it best to see if she would cope in kennels.
Richard, her evaluator, has been wonderful with her, gave us plenty of feed back and we had a report and lots of pictures as well. Our dog had clearly bonded with Richard already and we feel much happier about leaving her for longer next time. Thank you for caring for Jumika as well as you did, it really showed!

We always take our dog to Royvon. The staff are friendly, our dog is well looked after and the keep us up to date with photos. Videos and enrichment reports during the stay. Great atmosphere with great facilities and staff.

They been such a blessing for us. Having a very anxious dog has made things challenging, but going to Royvons and getting help from Romeo has been amazing. She is doing loads better and me as a 'dog auntie' feels so much more confident managing her.
