Why it works

Surrey's training environment is the whole point

Dogs trained at Esher don't just learn in paddocks. They learn on high streets, at train stations, near cyclists and runners in exactly the environments where behaviour needs to hold.

๐ŸŽฏ

London environments, without London prices

From Esher town centre to the Surrey Hills, our trainers work in the kinds of busy, distracting environments that test real reliability and build it.

๐Ÿ”„

Your dog. One trainer. Every day.

Daily repetition with the same dedicated trainer builds the trust and clarity that makes lasting change possible. Not a different face each session.

๐Ÿ”’

Appointment-only access for every guest's safety

Our ANPR-gated, appointment-only site means every dog in our care is protected throughout their stay. You'll always know exactly where your dog is.

What we help with

Whether you've tried everything or you're just starting

Our Esher team works regularly with dogs others have given up on. There's almost always a clear path forward. Residential Training at our Surrey centre starts from ยฃ140 per day. The final price will depend on the time of year, the programme recommended for your dog and any additional activity or enrichment services you choose.

๐Ÿ•

Poor recall

Can't let them off lead in Richmond Park or the Surrey Hills? We fix recall comprehensively in exactly those environments.

๐Ÿฆฎ

Pulling on the lead

High-street and commuter town environments are full of distractions. We train for those not just for quiet cul-de-sacs.

โš ๏ธ

Reactivity

Lunging, barking, spinning on lead. Our Esher team including our dedicated Reactive Dogs Specialist work with this daily.

๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

Anxiety & nervousness

Anxious dogs need structure, calm and time. Esher's controlled environment and expert team gives them exactly that.

๐Ÿ”ด

Aggression

We work with complex aggression cases at Esher carefully, honestly, and always with safety first.

๐Ÿงฉ

Lack of focus

A dog that can't engage in London's chaos needs a different approach. We build focus from scratch, then test it where it matters.

A group of thirteen people, some wearing matching blue shirts and hats, stand smiling in front of a building with a "Welcome to Royvon" sign. One person, likely a skilled dog trainer, holds a husky dog. Lush greenery surrounds them, highlighting the inviting atmosphere at this renowned dog boarding facility.

The environment

Surrey woodland, urban streets the full picture

Esher's location gives us something most training centres can't offer: immediate access to both quiet countryside and the busiest urban environments in the South East. That range is what builds reliability.

Private driveway site, appointment-only access

ANPR security gates and CCTV throughout

Hotel-style accommodation for all sizes and breeds

Walking routes through Esher, Kingston, the woodland

Training is intensive but comfort and safety come first. Our Esher site is appointment-only, ANPR-controlled and staffed around the clock. Your dog rests knowing they're safe.

How it works

From first call to a dog that belongs in your life

Clear, honest guidance at every stage from initial enquiry through to the day you collect a changed dog.

1

Initial Enquiry

Tell us about your dog history, current behaviour, what you need to change. We'll be honest about whether Esher residential training is the right fit.

2

Assessment & Plan

We meet your dog, assess their behaviour and build an individual programme. Every plan is tailored no generic approach.

3

Residential Stay

Your dog trains daily with their assigned Esher trainer. You receive regular video updates so you see progress happening.

4

Handover & Support

Full guided handover at collection, a written plan, and up to three months of follow-up support to make progress permanent.

When your dog comes home

The handover is where most training falls short. We do it differently.

We invest as much care in the return home as we do in the training. Because a dog that does well at Esher but falls apart at home isn't a success. That's not how we measure it.

๐Ÿ“‹

Full guided handover at collection

We walk you through every command, every cue, and everything to watch for. You leave knowing exactly what to do and what not to do.

๐Ÿค

Three months of follow-up support

Questions answered. Progress maintained. Issues caught before they become problems. You're not on your own once you get home.

๐Ÿ“ˆ

Change that sticks, not fades

The right tools, consistently applied, produce permanent change. That's the goal for you and for your dog.

Start the process

โ€œIn many cases, a completely different dog comes home. And the difference for owners is immediate.โ€

FAQs

Questions about Esher residential training

What Surrey and London owners usually want to know before getting in touch.

How long does residential training at Esher take?

โ€บ

Most programmes run for two to three weeks. The exact duration depends on your dog's individual needs, which we assess before confirming the programme. Follow-up support runs for up to three months after collection.

Is Esher easily accessible from London?

โ€บ

Yes โ€” our Esher site is on the Surrey-London border, approximately 30 minutes by train from central London. We're accessible from Kingston, Richmond, Wimbledon and across South West London. Many London owners use us specifically for this reason.

How does the security work at Esher?

โ€บ

Our site is appointment-only and ANPR-gated. We'll need your vehicle registration in advance for access. This keeps every dog in our care completely secure throughout their stay.

Does Esher have a specialist for reactive dogs?

โ€บ

Yes. Our Reactive Dogs Specialist, Romeo Bradeanu, is based at our Esher site and works specifically with reactive, anxious and complex behaviour cases. We'll match your dog to the right trainer based on their individual needs.

Do you use force-free methods?

โ€บ

Always. Our methods are built on positive reinforcement, clear communication and trust โ€” never on force or fear. A dog trained through positive motivation will always outperform one trained through pressure.

Can I drop off my dog if I'm based in London?

โ€บ

Absolutely. Many of our Esher residential clients travel from central and South London. The site is straightforward to reach by car or public transport, and we can advise on the best drop-off time to fit your schedule.
