Team Bio

Kev is one of our highly experienced Senior Care Team Members and has been part of the Royvon family for over 20 years. With a background as a dog trainer and decades of hands-on animal care experience, Kev brings an exceptional level of knowledge, patience, and understanding to every dog he works with.

Known affectionately as our "Snarl Soother," Kev has a remarkable ability to turn growls into yawns and tension into trust. He is particularly experienced in working with reactive, nervous, and anxious dogs, helping them feel safe, comfortable, and understood during their stay with us.

Kev's role is centred around ensuring every guest receives the highest standard of care, from maintaining clean and comfortable accommodation to overseeing mealtimes, administering medication, providing enrichment, and monitoring wellbeing. He takes pride in making sure every dog feels at home.

For Kev, the most important part of his role is knowing that every dog in our care is happy, healthy, and receiving the individual attention they deserve.

Our approach

How every Royvon trainer works

The same principles that have guided Royvon since 1959.

🎯

Reward-based, always

Our training is built on positive reinforcement and clear communication. We never use force or fear a dog that wants to work with you will always outperform one that is trained through pressure.

🔄

Distractions are the point

Most dogs can listen in a quiet room. We progressively introduce real-world distractions until your dog responds reliably wherever you are.

🤝

Owner coaching, not just dog training

A training programme that doesn't include the owner rarely lasts. We invest as much in helping you understand your dog as we do in training the dog itself.

Tilly brings nearly three years of hands-on experience in the dog industry to the Royvon team. Her journey in animal care began with a Level 2 Animal Management course, completed with a Distinction, alongside valuable work experience at a veterinary clinic and horse stables. Starting at Royvon as part of the Care Team, Tilly built a strong foundation in dog welfare before progressing to Trainee Trainer. Working closely alongside senior trainers, she has developed specialist skills in puppy training and supporting residential programs. Tilly is particularly passionate about helping owners and dogs who may need extra support, ensuring both feel understood, comfortable, and prepared for a possible longer stay.
