Enrichment Supervisor & Puppy Trainer

Merthyr Tydfil

Team Bio

Anna-Kat is our Enrichment Supervisor and Trainer, playing a key role in ensuring that every dog in our care has their physical, mental, and emotional needs met. She is responsible for overseeing enrichment programmes throughout the day, making sure each dog is fulfilled, comfortable, happy, and receiving the appropriate level of stimulation and engagement.

As well as leading our enrichment team, Anna-Kat is also one of our Puppy and Obedience Trainers. She is passionate about helping owners understand their dogs' needs, including their individual personalities and specific breed characteristics. Anna-Kat believes that when owners understand why their dogs behave the way they do and how to fulfil their natural needs and instincts, they can build stronger relationships and create happier, more balanced dogs.

Anna-Kat uses a positive, reward-based approach to training and follows IMDT methods, focusing on building trust, motivation, and lasting results. She works closely with owners to help them recognise and meet their dogs' physical, mental, and emotional requirements, giving them the knowledge and confidence to support their dogs both at home and in everyday life.

Outside of work, Anna-Kat shares her life with her Belgian Malinois, Larion, who fuels her passion for training, enrichment, and canine behaviour every day.

Our approach

How every Royvon trainer works

The same principles that have guided Royvon since 1959.

🎯

Reward-based, always

Our training is built on positive reinforcement and clear communication. We never use force or fear a dog that wants to work with you will always outperform one that is trained through pressure.

πŸ”„

Distractions are the point

Most dogs can listen in a quiet room. We progressively introduce real-world distractions until your dog responds reliably wherever you are.

🀝

Owner coaching, not just dog training

A training programme that doesn't include the owner rarely lasts. We invest as much in helping you understand your dog as we do in training the dog itself.
