Merthyr Tydfil
Team Bio
Andrea is the General Manager at Royvon Merthyr and brings over 25 years of experience in animal care. Her extensive background gives her a well-rounded understanding of canine welfare, allowing her to ensure every dog receives the highest standard of care during their stay.
As General Manager, Andrea's priority is ensuring everything runs smoothly, from the day-to-day care of the dogs to supporting the team that looks after them. She firmly believes that a happy, motivated team creates happy dogs, and works hard to foster a positive environment where both staff and guests can thrive.
Andrea is passionate about customer care and believes every dog should be treated with the same love, respect, and attention that we would want for our own pets. She is committed to going the extra mile for both dogs and their owners, ensuring every stay is a positive experience from start to finish.
At home, Andrea has three dogs of her own, a Belgian Malinois, a Chihuahua, and a Hungarian Puli, and her love for dogs extends far beyond the workplace. When asked what she loves most about dogs, she says: "The way they live in the moment. Dogs remind me to slow down, appreciate the simple things, and just be."
With her dedication to animal welfare, customer service, and team development, Andrea is proud to lead the Royvon Merthyr team and uphold the high standards of care that every dog deserves.
Our approach
How every Royvon trainer works
The same principles that have guided Royvon since 1959.
🎯
Reward-based, always
Our training is built on positive reinforcement and clear communication. We never use force or fear a dog that wants to work with you will always outperform one that is trained through pressure.
🔄
Distractions are the point
Most dogs can listen in a quiet room. We progressively introduce real-world distractions until your dog responds reliably wherever you are.
🤝
Owner coaching, not just dog training
A training programme that doesn't include the owner rarely lasts. We invest as much in helping you understand your dog as we do in training the dog itself.
