DOG TRAINING AT HOME
OUR TRAINERS CAN COME TO YOUR HOME FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE
This can also be very beneficial for the training, at least in the beginning, as it helps us understand the environment in which the dog lives. This is often also the environment where unwanted behaviours happen.
We can help identify subtle changes and tweaks that can contribute to future success in your training. Sometimes seemingly small things such as where your dog eats, rests, plays and trains can have a big impact on their behaviour and welfare and on the progress, you can make in your training. We can help you get organised for the arrival of a puppy or a rescue dog or help prepare your dog for the arrival of a new baby.
A WELL TRAINED DOG IS A HAPPY DOG
GOAL SETTING
Together, we can develop a strategy to keep your dog happy when you’re not available, as well management and control of unwanted “old” behaviours, while you are in process of training new, more appropriate behaviours. For example, we can help you prevent your dog from barking at the window or from chewing the furniture when you’re not there. We can help organise your training plan for greeting visitors politely or for addressing resource guarding. We can also help you organise the management of multiple dogs.
LEARN HOW TO RECALL YOUR DOG
FOR SOME BEHAVIOURS IT IS BEST TO MEET AT OUR SCHOOL
However, in some cases it might be best for you and your dog to meet us away from your home area at first. This is especially the case with dogs who display aggression or extremely fearful behaviour towards strangers in their home. In those cases, its better for us to meet and make friends with your dog on a “neutral ground” and gradually prepare your dog for a home visit. If you’re in doubt, arrange an assessment with our training team to discuss the best approach.
